A silly premise opens the door on a clever, funny detective story. A motorcycle cop believes that he's really Sherlock Holmes. The premise is ludicrous but the tone is comedic throughout so that doesn't matter. The clues and the various deductions made by the hero are smart, and that is what's really important here. It's a good story, too.
