Diane Arbus (Nova York, 14 de març de 1923 - Greenwich (Nova York), 26 de juliol de 1971), nascuda amb el nom de Diane Nemerov, va ser una fotògrafa estatunidenca. Fou coneguda per fotografiar persones d’aspecte poc convencional i socialment rebutjades, anomenades freaks. La seva obra ha estat reconeguda per institucions com la Bienal de Venècia i el MoMA.

Con 18 años, en 1941, Diane se casó con Allan Arbus, quien le dio su apellido para dejar de ser Diane Nemerov y pasar a ser Diane Arbus.The New York Times se hizo eco de su boda. Con 19 años, en 1942, recibió una clase de fotografía impartida por Berenice Abbott y su marido Allan le regaló una cámara Graflex de 2 1/4 x 3 1/4.
