Paul Albert Anka OC (born July 30, 1941) is a Canadian-American singer, songwriter and actor. He is best known for his signature hit songs including "Diana", "Lonely Boy", "Put Your Head on My Shoulder", and "(You're) Having My Baby".
Aunque solo había ingresado al Top 40 una vez desde 1963, Paul Anka llegó al número uno en 1974 con (You're) having my baby, un dúo grabado con su protegida Odia Coates. Los dos singles siguientes del dúo, One man woman/one woman man y I don't like to sleep alone subieron al Top 10 (el LP Anka de 1974 fue disco de oro), y su single solista de 1975 Times of your life llegó al número siete.

Biography. Born July 30, 1941, in Ottawa Canada, into a tight-knit family, Paul Anka didn’t waste much time getting his life in music started. He sang in the choir at St. Elijah Syrian Orthodox Church and briefly studied piano. He honed his writing skills with journalism courses, even working for a spell at the Ottawa Citizen.
