Viv knew that Lucille had struggled with her marriage for very long yet remained spirited and formidable, and Lucille always provided Viv advice on her own marriage. She eventually convinced Viv to muster enough courage to file for divorce from her abusive husband.

I have also watched many documentaries on YouTube about Vance. There’s many articles online too. She had a long career and very interesting life.
