Throughout his career Reger worked as a concert pianist, as musical director of the Leipzig University Church, as a professor at the Royal Conservatory in Leipzig, and as musical director of Duke Georg II of Saxe-Meiningen's court.

2 de jul. de 2024 · Lebenslauf. Max Reger war ab 1905 Lehrer für Orgel und Komposition an der Akademie in München, wo er auch erste Anerkennung als Orgelkomponist erhielt. Ab 1907 war er Kompositionslehrer am Leipziger Konservatorium, daneben 1911 – 14 Leiter der Meininger Hofkapelle.
