Hace 2 días · MINNEAPOLIS -- The No. 16 Minnesota volleyball team defeated No. 7 Wisconsin in five sets (19-25, 25-15, 25-27, 25-15, 18-16) to open Big Ten play on Wednesday night at Maturi Pavilion. With the win, the Gophers have now won 13 straight conference home openers. Minnesota has taken 12 of the last 16 against Wisconsin inside Maturi Pavilion.

It's the first time Minnesota has accomplished the feat since October of 1962, and 1926 is the last time Minnesota had bigger back-to-back shutouts (122-0 over Iowa and Butler).
