The movie explores themes of violence and voyeurism. Funny Games delves into the disturbing aspects of human nature and the desensitization to violence in today’s society.
For my money 97 is the winner. The 2007 version just feels pointless. Believe Haneke only remade it because of the limited release of the original. 1997 version feels and looks a bit more gritty. It's essentially a shot for shot remake. I like Michael Pitt, Naomi Watts, and Tim Roth a lot in 2007. Really loved the movie!
