My past interactions with phenomenology boil down to reading Robert Sokolowski's Introduction to Phenomenology and reading some bits and pieces of Husserl, Heidegger and Merleau-Ponty.

However, his phenomenology has temporarily of consciousness which is static and in presentational terms of science. In Heidegger's phenomenology we find the historicality (Geschichtlichkeit).
