  2. Bryn Jones aka “Muslimgauze” was a staunch supporter of the Palestinian cause and often dedicated his music for a liberated Palestine. His research and commitment to the cause further grew into other conflict-ridden areas within the Middle East and came to the conclusion that Western interests for natural resources and strategic political gain were root causes for many of these conflicts.

  4. Discovered Muslimgauze around the same time from the youtube algorithm and decided to immediately traverse and get lost in his entire discography. Veiled Sisters is by far my favorite project to date and picking up this sample from the anime during a rewatch after the fact was definitely a trippy experience.

  5. 9 de may. de 2024 · Design was continued by Eric Kessel under direction from Simon Crab. Simon Crab ran Recloose, Bryn Jones’ first label that put out E.g. Oblique Graph (Jones' earliest known musical moniker) releases and early Muslimgauze including Buddhist on Fire (1984). Crab became an award winning designer and as someone who worked worked with Bryn in the early days, seemed an excellent fit.

  7. Hace 2 días · The thick drums and rich found sounds that densely populate the soundscapes on Maroon give materiality to the warm presence of the synth washes. The music is so layered and textured that it ceases to be aural and exists almost solely in the realm of sight and touch.
