On the eve of the Japanese invasion in December 1941, Dutch regular troops in the East Indies comprised about 1,000 officers and 34,000 men, of whom 28,000 were indigenous.

Menurut buku Pribumi Jadi Letnan KNIL oleh Petrik Matanasi (2012: 4), KNIL dibentuk pada tahun 1830 oleh pemerintah kolonial Belanda untuk menghadapi perlawanan lokal serta memperluas wilayah jajahannya. Pembentukan KNIL berawal sejak Perang Diponegoro.

10 de may. de 2024 · Kecamatan Gombong Kabupaten Kebumen dengan fasilitas kesehatannya yang memadai Rumah sakit menjadi salah satu hal yang penting dalam menyangga kesejahtaeraan kesehatan warga di suatu daerah. Saya rasa, Kebumen menjadi salah satu kabupaten yang patut bersyukur, sebab di Kecamatan Gombong jumlah rumah sakitnya cukup memadai untuk masyarakat yang ingin mengakses fasilitas kesehatan.

Following the Dutch surrender to the invading Japanese forces in March 1942, Suharto abandoned his KNIL uniform and went back to Wurjantoro.
