Norwegian director Joachim Rønning, who previously helmed the biopics Max Manus: Man of War (2008) and Kon-Tiki (2012), signed on to direct, with Daisy Ridley set play Trudy. The movie they've made sees Trudy overcome insurmountable odds — not to mention the garden variety sexism of her time — to achieve greatness.
