Penthesilea never wanted to be Queen of the Amazons. But when her errant spear killed her beloved older sister, she was left a broken woman atop an unwanted throne. She had accidentally killed the woman that raised her, the legendary queen whom she would have followed to the ends of the earth. The guilt and grief was more than she could bear.
