Something-Ventured Section 230 was clearly defined and then misinterpreted in precedent. The liability exemption was never supposed to extend to the algorithmic promotion of content (I.e. editorialized control) that is done to increase engagement for economic benefit.

But it certainly seems like it filters out a lot of the more idiosyncratic, brilliant types that aren't concerned with (from their perspective, irrelevant) details, like the date on a pitch deck.
