Hace 4 días · John " Jock " Stein CBE (5 October 1922 – 10 September 1985) was a Scottish football player and manager. He was the first manager of a British side to win the European Cup, with Celtic in 1967. Stein also guided Celtic to nine successive Scottish League championships between 1966 and 1974.

Hace 5 días · In the wake of the brilliant win in Barcelona that brought the European Cup Winners Cup to Glasgow, Willie Waddell moved ‘upstairs’ to take on the role of General Manager, and Jock Wallace took over as manager. Meanwhile, the two goalscoring heroes in the Camp Nou, Colin Stein and Willie Johnston, departed not long after season 1972/73 started.
