What is the best sci-fi action movie in your opinion? My (if you haven't watched it, I advise you):
Open. Horror / Sci-fi movie from the early 90s. Maybe a TV movie on SYFY or HBO. In a storage room, people use a reel-to-reel film projector to watch and enter the movie. I remember a scene where I women is trapped in a black-and-white movie with monsters or vampires.

The movie follows a young boy magically transported into the universe of his favorite action hero, Jack Slater, and together they must prevent a ruthless assassin from bringing chaos to the real world.
The tonal shifts of the fictional Jack Slater franchise in Last Action Hero are insane. Jack Slater III ends on a downer of a downer with his son dying alongside the villain, but something changed after that, even if it's still playing here and there just before the release of the next movie.
