A beautiful shot by cinematographer Winton C. Hoch for the 3 Godfathers (1948). Hoch went on to win the Oscar for cinematography in 1949 (Joan of Arc), 1950 (She Wore a Yellow Ribbon), and 1953 (The Quiet Man). Fun fact: John Wayne was badly sunburned during the shoot and was briefly hospitalized.
