14 de jun. de 2024 · Burton Cummings would stay until 1975 and he was the other co-writer and lead singer on virtually all the hits, while there were no more #1 songs, several well charting songs came after Bachman left. But these two artists were The Guess Who’s heart, soul and talent.
Despite no real classic albums (they were a singles act after all) and never being critical faves, the band proved highly influential on Canadian rock music and "American Woman" will regularly rank high on any list of the best songs ever by a Canadian act and Bachman and Cummings are the only artists to be inducted twice into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
