I woke up and thought, ‘That’s not an Allman Brothers song!’ And the melody of In a Dream was clear as a bell from the moment I woke up. In a Dream seemed to be the perfect name for the album.”
Yup. 10000%. I love Duane. Nothing against him at all and the Allman brothers never become what they are without him but dickie betts was something else. Loudest fucking guitarist live ever. That tone was the south personified. I can’t explain it but dickie Betts makes me wanna pound light beer and cry.
