Obviously not to the level of the Rocky Mountains, but Toadstool Geologic Park is otherworldly. You can also go tubing along the Niobrara River, check out Indian Cave State Park, go to Lake Mac to go swimming and boating, etc. The Sandhills are also gorgeous if you appreciate really stunning hills and prairies.
