24 de dic. de 2011 · Roditi is also joined by the Brazilian guitarist, Romero Lubambo, one of the finest and oddly, one of the most neglected geniuses of modern guitar. Lubambo shows his ingenuity throughout, especially on “ Amandamada ” where he appears almost vocal-like on electric guitar.
Brazilian Routes. Romero Lubambo. Guitarist Romero Lubambo lays down a smooth set of Brazilian jazz in a setting that includes a bit of Fender Rhodes, bass, drums, and percussion plus guest vocals by Pamela Driggs on one track, and a solo by fluitist and saxophonist Mauro Senise on another.
Levitation is another Roditi original tune which is a straight-ahead swinger and provides an interesting juxtaposition among all the Latin-derived tracks. Throughout the session, pianist Donald Vega and guitarist Romero Lubambo present unwavering support and interesting interplay adding to the texture of the music.
