Flore Benguigui, 2023. L'Impératrice is a group of six musicians: Charles de Boisseguin, the group's founder (keyboards), Hagni Gwon (keyboards), David Gaugué (bass guitar), Achille Trocellier (electric guitar), Tom Daveau (drums), and Flore Benguigui (vocals), who joined the band in 2015.
L'impératrice has been my discovery of the year, mostly due to the addictive groove of their bassist, David Gaugué, on all their albums and EPs. This man is a monster ! He plays mostly disco and funk lines, but whatever the style, he always has such a distinct sound and presence, probably carried by his MusicMan.
L'Impératrice es un grupo francés de música pop y nu-disco establecido en París en 2012. Está conformado por Charles de Boisseguin (teclados), Hagni Gwon (teclados), David Gaugué (bajo), Achille Trocellier (guitarra eléctrica), Tom Daveau (batería) y la cantante Flore Benguigui, quien se unió a la banda en 2015.
