Director Paul Morrisey's tale of rival gangs, one of which is led by famed Brazilian actress, Marília Pêra, captures the urban decay and grittiness of the Lower East Side in the 1980s. The realism contrasted with campy dialogue make for both an entertaining but also tragic watch.
