Verdine Adams White (born July 25, 1951) is an American musician, best known as a founding member and bassist for the band Earth, Wind & Fire. White was placed at No. 19 on Rolling Stone's list of The 50 Greatest Bassists of All Time.

Johnson and Pleasure envisioned Audio Caviar as a trio that would play small combo acoustic jazz. The lineup expanded and eventually grew to include EW&F alums like Al McKay and Paulinho De Costa and current members like Phillip Bailey and Verdine White and the world famous EW&F horn section.

Audio Caviar members had a hand in penning a dozen songs for Transoceanic, which was completed by songs written by Miles Davis ("All Blues"), Ivan Lins ("The Island"), Jonathan Butler ("Jodie") and a trio of Danish songwriters ("Hookline").
“Dominique” has a taste of EWF courtesy of guest artists Verdine White (b), Al McKay (g) and Philip Bailey (vocals). Our favorite is “Love Comes In Time” featuring Howard Hewett (vocals). Their soulful sound is retro yet fresh.
