The 1914 French Grand Prix was a Grand Prix motor race held at Lyon on 4 July 1914. Hailed as one of the greatest races of the twentieth century, it was a contest between the French Peugeots and the German Mercedes. For the first time, the Grand Prix was run to an engine limitation – of 4.5L maximum capacity.

27 de oct. de 2023 · The French automobile champion Georges Boillot had won the 1912 and 1913 Grand Prix with Peugeot and started for the 1914 Grand Prix as undisputable favorite. Jules Goux and Victor Rigal, his teammates, provided Peugeot support.
The French Grand Prix was in Lyon, this time with a maximum engine size of 4.5-litres. Held in the shadow of political crisis in Europe, it was hailed as the greatest race to date, after an epic battle between the Peugeot and Mercedes.
