Diese produzierte auf der Basis des Patents von Dietrich Gruen aus dem Jahr 1874 Uhrwerke von Taschenuhren oder modifizierte aus der Schweiz importierte Uhrwerke in ihrer Werkstätte in Columbus/Ohio.
Nachdem Dietrich Gruen im Jahr 1874 seine Erfindung patentieren ließ, dauerte es nicht mehr lange, bis er begann diese in seiner ersten Firma zu vermarkten.
