6 de ene. de 2021 · As a reminder of what bands were up to and sounding like during the formative years of the British Invasion, here is one of three sessions The Searchers did for the Swedish Radio network Sveriges Radio in 1964. The band were huge in Sweden and they frequently toured there during the early years.
The Searchers' second Swedish Radio recording took place on December 4, 1964. This session was broadcast on channel P2 on January 4, 1965 at 5:20 PM and later on channel P3 on January 29, 1965 at 8:00 PM. The title of the show, produced by Klaus Burling was "Pop-club - The Searchers" with a running time of 24:31.

Part 1: Rock 'n' Roll Sweeps Sweden In Early 1960s. The Searchers made several trips from Liverpool to Sweden in the 1960s in an attempt to promote their Liverpool Sound. Fortunately, for Searchers enthusiasts everywhere, the group's performances were captured live on Swedish radio on three occasions, March and December 1964 and May 1967.
The Searchers’ Swedish Radio Sessions were released in 2001 on the Sanctuary label CMRCD 394 and contain three different sessions on Service Radio. This cd is a real treasure for Searchers’ fan, not only because of the excellent sound quality of all three sessions but also for the chance to compare three different personnels.
