Stanley George Wojcicki (/ ˌ v uː ɪ ˈ tʃ ɪ t s k i / VOO-ih-CHITS-kee; born Stanisław Jerzy Wójcicki, Polish: [vujˈt͡ɕit͡skʲi]; March 30, 1937 – May 31, 2023) was a Polish American physicist and former chair of the physics department at Stanford University in California.
Stanley Wojcicki, an experimental particle physicist who studied new particles, quarks, kaons and neutrinos, died at age 86. He was also a chair of the department, a leader of the Superconducting Supercollider project and a father of three successful daughters.
