Allegheny College is a private liberal arts college in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1815, Allegheny is the oldest college in continuous existence under the same name west of the Allegheny Mountains.

To offer students a variety of perspectives, each program at Allegheny belongs to one of six divisions. After first exploring several interests, you will choose your major at the end of your sophomore year.
Allegheny College is test-optional, and has been for for almost 10 years. Our admission committee reviews applications through a holistic process with over 50% of our students applying without SAT or ACT scores.
