Brett Chalmers (born 23 April 1973) is a former Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League. Originally from Cleve in Port Adelaide’s country zone, Chalmers was a highly rated player from his early teens, playing for the State Schoolboys Under-15s in 1988.

Brett Chalmers was a midfielder who played 50 games for the Adelaide Crows from 1994 to 1997. He was originally drafted by Richmond and then traded to Adelaide after a tampering charge, and later joined Port Adelaide in 1997.
Son of former Adelaide and Port Adelaide player Brett Chalmers, the 18-year-old was once a talented junior footballer himself. He represented Immanuel College in South Australia last year, playing a handful of games for the first XVIII before going down with a lower leg injury.
