Daniel John Cunningham, FRS, FRSE, FRAI (15 April 1850 – 23 July 1909) was a Scottish physician, zoologist, and anatomist, famous for Cunningham's Text-book of Anatomy and Cunningham's Manual of Practical Anatomy.

Prof Daniel John Cunningham was a Scottish physician, zoologist, and anatomist. He earned his M.D. from the University of Edinburgh in 1876. From 1876 until 1882 he worked at the University of Edinburgh. From 1883 until 1903 he was Professor of Anatomy at Trinity College, Dublin.
He is best known for the excellent series of dissection manuals, namely Cunningham's Dissection Manuals. Apart from this, he also produced many scientific contributions not only in the field of descriptive anatomy but also in comparative anatomy, evolution, anthropology and anthropometry.

Daniel John Cunningham was a son of the manse. His father John (1819-93) was the parish priest at Crieff, Perthshire from 1845 and was to remain there for 41 years. In 1886 he was appointed Principal of St Mary's College of the University of St Andrews and Moderator of the Church of Scotland.
