Jack Tempchin is an American musician and singer-songwriter who wrote the Eagles song "Peaceful Easy Feeling" and co-wrote "Already Gone", "The Girl from Yesterday", "Somebody" and "It's Your World Now".
Jack Tempchin, a San Diego native, first gained recognition when he was signed by Clive Davis to Arista Records in 1976 as part of the band The Funky Kings. Their track "Slow Dancing (Swayin’ To the Music)" became a Billboard Top 10 hit in 1977, recorded by Johnny Rivers.
