Luigi Paulino Alfredo Francesco Antonio Balassoni (Illinois, 6 de julio de 1924-Los Ángeles, 14 de febrero de 2009), más conocido como Louie Bellson, fue un músico estadounidense de jazz, baterista, considerado uno de los mejores del mundo, [1] y reconocido como pionero en el uso de dos bombos.
Louie Bellson (born Luigi Paolino Alfredo Francesco Antonio Balassoni, July 6, 1924 – February 14, 2009), often seen in sources as Louis Bellson, although he himself preferred the spelling Louie, was an American jazz drummer. He was a composer, arranger, bandleader, and jazz educator, and is credited with pioneering the use of two bass drums.

18 de dic. de 2018 · Louie Bellson had blazingly fast hands, used his feet to “detonate” bass drums bombs” while all the while wearing a beautiful smile on his face. He was revered by drummers and just about every musician he ever worked with because he was an excellent drummer but never lorded his talents and abilities over anyone.
