The mission of Cubberley K-8 School is to meet the educational needs of a diverse population by providing an academic program that reflects high expectations, community and parental involvement, cultural awareness and pride, and responsible citizenship.
Home > Our School > About. Construction of Cubberley Elementary was completed in 1953, servicing students from kindergarten through sixth grade. Cubberley became a K-5 school during the 1990-91 school year, when sixth grade was added to the middle schools (formerly known as junior highs).
Cubberley Elementary is located in the Serra Mesa area of San Diego, and has fostered excellence since 1959. Cubberley School primarily serves resident families, and also welcomes students from outside the area who choose to attend through the district's School Choice program.
Our School. Cubberley K-8 is located in East Long Beach in a residential community established more than 60 years ago. The student population of about 950 students is economically, ethnically, and linguistically diverse.
