THE SPIRITS OF OUR ANCESTORS was partially supposed to be a collaboration with the Gnawa musicians, the Black healers of Morocco brought there hundreds of years ago from Sub-Sahara Africa. Randy wanted to capture the authentic, traditional sounds and rhythms of the Gnawa.
