Hace 5 días · This year, the Del Norte Chamber of Commerce and several partnering organizations announced that Covered Wagon Days will be taking place later this summer. Beginning Aug. 5 through Aug. 8, the town of Del Norte will be hopping with something fun every day.
27 de may. de 2024 · DEL NORTE — For the past 50 years, Del Norte has paid homage to its historical heritage during August with celebrations honoring days from the past. The first-ever Covered Wagon Days event took place in 1972 when the town decided to host a bicentennial festival that eventually turned into the celebrations of today.
The Colorado River, Arkansas River and Cache la Poudre lead through canyons, gorges and miles of whitewater rafting and kayaking thrills, while massive bodies of water like Grand Lake, Lake Dillon and Blue Mesa Reservoir, and several lakes in the Colorado State Parks system, cater to those wanting to pick up speed.
