15 de may. de 2010 · The Colossus should remind everyone how talented DJ-producer Ramble John Krohn was before he crafted the award winning Mad Men theme. It's his finest album since 2002's instrumental hip-hop classic 'Deadringer', balanching puncy funk ('Let There Be Horns') with soul ballads ('Games You Can Win,' featuring pensive vocals from Kenna).
In 2009, RJD2 founded his own label, RJ's Electrical Connections. After reissuing some of his earlier albums, in January 2010 he released The Colossus. A sample-heavy set featuring contributions from singers including Kenna, Aaron Livingston, and Phonte Coleman and rappers such as Illogic, it peaked at number 30 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop ...
18 de jun. de 2010 · If you like RJD2, you're going to like this album. It's the instrumental version/remixes off of the Colossus album but it stands alone as far as I'm concerned. I may be somewhat biased as I love RJ, but if you like electronic music with fresh beats then this is for you.
