Anton Thadäus Johann Nepomuk Stamitz (November 1750 – c. 1798–1809) was a German composer and violinist. Anton was born during a family visit to Německý Brod and baptised there on 27 November 1750. He and his brother Carl received their first violin instruction from their father Johann.

Johann Wenzel Anton Stamitz (en checo: Jan Václav Antonín Stamic; 18 de junio de 1717 - 27 de marzo de 1757) fue un compositor y violinista bohemio. Sus dos hijos supervivientes, Carl y Anton Stamitz, fueron compositores de la escuela de Mannheim, de la que Johann es considerado el padre fundador.
El compositor da un importante material temático a los oboes y hace buen uso de la puntuación rítmica. El segundo movimiento, andantino, posee una estructura más convencional y omite los oboes y trompas. Un extenso movimiento para su época. El tercer movimiento, menuetto, muestra un tema rítmico poseyendo un contrastante trío escrito en modo menor.

Johann Wenzel Anton Stamitz (Czech: Jan Václav Antonín Stamic; 18 June 1717 – 27 March 1757) was a Bohemian composer and violinist. His two surviving sons, Carl and Anton Stamitz , were composers of the Mannheim school , of which Johann is considered the founding father.
