Edward John Gagliardi (February 13, 1952 – May 11, 2014) was an American bass guitarist, best known as the original bass player for the 1970s rock band Foreigner. He was a member of Foreigner from the beginning in 1976.

Foreigner's original recording lineup comprised Gagliardi, vocalist Lou Gramm, guitarist Mick Jones, keyboardist Al Greenwood, drummer Dennis Elliott, and multi-instrumentalist Ian McDonald.
Foreigner is a British-American rock band formed in New York City in 1976 by guitarist Mick Jones, vocalist Lou Gramm, drummer Dennis Elliott, keyboardist Al Greenwood, bassist Ed Gagliardi and multi-instrumentalist Ian McDonald, the last of whom was also a founding member of King Crimson.
