  1. Designer Beatnik is the only album by English electronic act Dr Calculus, a duo of Stephen Duffy and former Pigbag trombonist Roger Freeman. Released in August 1986 through 10 Records, it was produced by Duffy and Freeman with Paul Staveley O'Duffy.

The cover photo shows the " Spirit of Ecstasy " Rolls-Royce car mascot and the album's two singles were "Programme 7" and "Perfume from Spain".

  5. 10 de jun. de 2014 · The KLF’s continuous mix of ‘strings, things and new technology’ was released in 1990 but, in hindsight, bears an uncanny musical resemblance – in style, structure and ‘substance’ – to Calculus’ Programme 7 single and Designer Beatnik album, which appeared in 1986.

  6. Using spare studio time from Stephen's solo work they recorded the first Dr Calculus single Programme 7. From this the Ten Records label let them record another single Perfume from Spain and the album Designer Beatnik, released in the Summer of 1986.
