Princess Tsehai Selassie, the youngest child of Emperor Haile Selassie, was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on October 13, 1919. At only 15, she gave an impassioned plea to the League of Nations on behalf of her besieged home nation, Ethiopia, as it was being invaded by Mussolini’s Fascist Italy.
