No Reason to Cry is the fourth solo studio album by Eric Clapton, released by RSO Records on 27 August 1976. The album was recorded in Malibu and Los Angeles between December 1975 to May 1976. The record went silver in the U.K. Recording.

A real beauty. Eric's vocals on this album is his absolute best - torn, broken, longing, boozed up sandpaper vocals garnished with heart and honesty. All in all, "No Reason To Cry" is a star-studded, beautifully solid performed latin-blues-rockin' work of art, with an absolutely magical atmosphere.

Bob Dylan, Rick Danko and Richard Manuel leave their mark, but it’s gloomy. Dylan’s contribution, “Sign Language,” is goofy — it invokes the name of Link Wray and not much else.
29 de dic. de 2013 · No Reason To Cry finds Clapton out of his element too often, especially on the sprawling Carnival. The album contains a few good songs, none better than Hello Old Friend, which taps into the same George Harrison -styled pop music that had given Clapton some of his greatest success, yet overall it remains his weakest entry from the 70s.
