  3. Lincoln Park Zoo, also known as Lincoln Park Zoological Gardens, is a 35-acre (14 ha) zoo in Lincoln Park, Chicago, Illinois. The zoo was founded in 1868, making it the fourth oldest zoo in North America. It is also one of a few free admission zoos in all of North America.

  4. Saturdays, Sundays, Memorial Day, 4th of July & Labor Day 8:00 a.m. – Gates and Farm-in-the-Zoo open 10:00 a.m. – Buildings open 4:30 p.m. – Farm-in-the-Zoo close 6:30 p.m. – Buildings close 7:00 p.m. – Gates close. Please note these hours do not include early closures for special events.

  5. Lincoln Park Zoos daily free activities last approximately 10 minutes and are open to all ages. Some of this season’s activities are listed below; however, all programs are subject to cancellation due to animal needs, inclement weather, or to ensure public safety. Additional programs may happen spontaneously around the zoo at various times.

  6. FRIday, June 21. Super Zoo Picnic is our exclusive, after-hours celebration just for Lincoln Park Zoo members. Members and their guests get the entire zoo to themselves for an evening of family fun! Zoo Ball: Wild Everest. Friday, July 12. Zoo Ball, now in its 47th year, is the zoo’s signature fundraiser.
