Carmelita Jeter (/ ˈ dʒ ɛ t ər / JET-tər, born November 24, 1979) is a retired American sprinter, who competed in the 60 metres, 100 m and 200 m. For over a decade, between 2009 and 2021, Jeter was called the "Fastest woman alive" after running a 100 m personal best of 10.64 seconds at the 2009 Shanghai Golden Grand Prix .

Carmelita Jeter ran 10.67 seconds to become the second fastest woman in history at the IAAF/VTB Bank World Athletics Final in Thessaloniki. She beat Shelly Ann Fraser and Kerron Stewart, who were both chasing her in the final stages of the race.
Carmelita Jeter is a three-time Olympic medalist in sprinting, winning gold, silver and bronze in the 2012 Games. She also holds the world record in the 4x100m relay and was the second-fastest woman in the 100m behind Florence Griffith Joyner.
