Verena "Vreni" Schneider (born 26 November 1964) is a retired ski racer from Switzerland. She is the most successful alpine ski racer of her country, the fourth most successful female ski racer ever (after Lindsey Vonn, Annemarie Moser-Pröll and Mikaela Shiffrin) and was voted "Swiss Sportswoman of the Century".

Schneider made her World Cup debut at the age of 20 and won her first ever World Cup event on Dec. 1984, a GS in Santa Caterina Valfurva.

Una de las más exitosas esquiadoras del mundo viene de la región de Glarus: Vreni Schneider dominaba las pistas en los años 1980 y 1990. En su pueblo natal Elm conmemoraron la reina de las pistas con un un descenso muy variado que lleva su nombre.
