Tervel Ivaylov Dlagnev ( Bulgarian: Тервел Ивайлов Длагнев, born November 19, 1985) is an American freestyle wrestler, who represented the United States in the 125 kg weight division. He earned a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, and finished 5th at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio .
Tervel Dlagnev is one of the best stories in UNK Athletics history, going from a walk on to an Olympic medal winner. Born in Bulgaria and picking up wrestling in high school, Dlagnev not only was a two-time national champion but also one of the most dominant wrestlers in NCAA Division II history.

10 de abr. de 2016 · IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Wrestlers Tervel Dlagnev, Ben Provisor and Elena Pirozhkova secured trips to the Rio Olympics with wins Saturday at the U.S. Team Trials. Dlagnev beat Zach Rey twice in a best-of-three finals series at freestyle heavyweight to earn his second berth in the Olympic Games.
