Sally Pearson, OAM (née McLellan; born 19 September 1986) [3] is a retired Australian athlete who competed in the 100 metre hurdles. She is the 2011 and 2017 World champion and 2012 Olympic champion in the 100 metres hurdles. She also won a silver medal in the 100 m hurdles at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2013 World Championships .

At the 2003 world championships, a couple of months before her 17 th birthday, she had run the 4x100 relay and put her hand up for the 4x400 when another athlete was injured.
Sally Pearson is one of Australia’s greatest Olympians and regarded as the nation’s most successful track athlete of all time. It was at Beijing 2008 when Sally made her Olympic debut in the 100m hurdles, creating history when she claimed silver behind USA’s Dawn Harper.
