Christopher (Chris) Miles was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and raised outside of Detroit, Michigan and in Springfield, Virginia. He graduated from George Mason University in 1987 with a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Electronics Engineering and was married one week after graduating to Susan Miles who was in the same degree program.
