Roger L. Gregory, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, formerly a partner in the law firm of Wilder & Gregory, grew up in Petersburg, Virginia and graduated from Virginia State College and the University of Michigan Law School.
Roger L. Gregory is the first Black judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and a co-founder of Wilder & Gregory law firm. He will receive the Thomas Jefferson Foundation Medal in Law on April 13, 2024, for his achievements in law, government and philanthropy.
