But then so was the bubblegum pop of the 1910 Fruitgum Company, who rebelled with a serious stab at music with (Poor Old) Mr. Jensen, a commercial flop.

However, Frank has stated in interviews that this wasn't true, and that when the band (originally Jeckell and the Hydes ) signed with Super K Productions , they were given the name.
