The Soft Boys were an English rock band led by Robyn Hitchcock, active from 1976 to 1981 and 1994 to 2003. They influenced the development of jangle pop, indie rock, and neo-psychedelia with their psychedelic and retro folk-rock style.
Psychedelic power pop band from Cambridge, UK, originally called Maureen and the Meatpackers. Formed 1976, disbanded 1981 and reformed in 2001 (without Metcalfe) on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Underwater Moonlight, which led to them recording & releasing Nextdoorland (2002) in the process, then breaking up again in 2003.
